MISS GRAND IRAN – TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions apply to all applicants, contestants, finalists, and titleholders participating in Miss Grand Iran, operated under license from Miss Grand International.

By submitting an application, paying any fees, or participating in any Miss Grand Iran activity, you confirm that you have read, understood, and fully agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

1. DEFINITIONS

  • “Organiser / National Director” refers to the official license holder and organising body of Miss Grand Iran.

  • “Contestant” refers to any applicant accepted into the Miss Grand Iran competition.

  • “Titleholder” refers to the winner and any runner-up awarded an official title.

  • “Competition” includes all stages of Miss Grand Iran, including casting, workshops, rehearsals, photoshoots, finals, appearances, and international representation.

2. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

2.1 Contestants must:

  • Be of Iranian nationality or Iranian heritage

  • Be between 18 and 28 years old on the date of the national final (unless otherwise specified by Miss Grand International)

  • Be legally permitted to travel internationally

  • Hold a valid passport

2.2 Contestants must:

  • Be unmarried

  • Have no children

  • Not be pregnant at any stage of the competition or reign

2.3 Contestants must:

  • Be of good moral character

  • Not have a criminal record or ongoing legal proceedings that could damage the reputation of Miss Grand Iran or Miss Grand International

  • Not have participated in any activity that conflicts with Miss Grand International rules

2.4 Contestants must possess sufficient proficiency in English and/or Persian to communicate during interviews, media appearances, and international events.

3. APPLICATION & ACCEPTANCE

3.1 Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.

3.2 The Organising Committee reserves the absolute right to:

  • Accept or reject any applicant

  • Request additional documentation

  • Withdraw acceptance at any time if eligibility criteria are no longer met

3.3 Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information will result in immediate disqualification without refund.

4. FEES, PAYMENTS & REFUNDS

4.1 Contestants may be required to pay:

  • Entry fees

  • Participation fees

  • Workshop or training fees

  • Administration or processing fees

  • Optional sponsorship or promotional packages

4.2 All fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of:

  • Withdrawal

  • Disqualification

  • Personal circumstances

  • Illness

  • Visa refusal

  • Travel restrictions

  • Force majeure events

4.3 Failure to pay fees by the specified deadlines may result in:

  • Loss of place in the competition

  • Replacement by another contestant

  • Disqualification without refund

5. TRAVEL, VISAS & ACCOMMODATION

5.1 Unless explicitly stated in writing:

  • Contestants are fully responsible for their own travel, accommodation, visas, insurance, and personal expenses

5.2 The Organiser is not responsible for:

  • Visa refusals

  • Flight delays or cancellations

  • Lost documents

  • Accommodation issues

  • Travel-related losses

5.3 Contestants must maintain valid travel and health insurance for the duration of the competition and international representation.

6. CODE OF CONDUCT

6.1 Contestants must behave in a professional, respectful, and dignified manner at all times.

6.2 The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Defamation of the organisation, contestants, sponsors, or partners

  • Disrespectful or aggressive behaviour

  • Harassment or bullying (online or offline)

  • Public disputes related to Miss Grand Iran

  • Posting misleading or damaging content about the pageant

6.3 Contestants must not:

  • Pose nude or in sexually explicit material during the competition or reign

  • Engage in activities that conflict with the values of Miss Grand International

6.4 Any breach may result in immediate disqualification or title forfeiture.

7. MEDIA, IMAGE & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

7.1 Contestants grant Miss Grand Iran irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free rights to use:

  • Name

  • Image

  • Likeness

  • Voice

  • Video and photographic material

  • Biographical information

7.2 Usage includes:

  • Social media

  • Websites

  • Press releases

  • Advertising

  • Broadcast and digital platforms

  • Promotional materials (current and future)

7.3 Contestants waive any right to:

  • Financial compensation

  • Editorial control

  • Approval of final materials

7.4 Contestants confirm they own or have legal rights to all submitted content.

8. JUDGING & DECISIONS

8.1 Judging criteria may include:

  • Interview performance

  • Stage presence

  • Confidence and communication

  • Advocacy and values

  • Overall presentation

8.2 Judges’ decisions are final and non-appealable.

8.3 The Organiser reserves the right to adjust judging formats or criteria as required.

9. TITLES, DUTIES & REIGN

9.1 Titleholders must:

  • Represent Miss Grand Iran and Iran with dignity

  • Attend scheduled appearances, rehearsals, media events, and sponsor obligations

  • Follow all instructions from the National Director

9.2 Titleholders must not:

  • Compete in other beauty pageants

  • Sign conflicting endorsements

  • Use the title for unauthorised commercial purposes

9.3 Failure to fulfil duties may result in title termination.

10. DISQUALIFICATION & TITLE FORFEITURE

10.1 Grounds include:

  • Breach of these Terms & Conditions

  • Misconduct

  • Misrepresentation

  • Failure to comply with duties

  • Reputational damage to the organisation

10.2 Upon forfeiture:

  • Title is revoked

  • Crowns, sashes, prizes must be returned

  • No compensation is payable

11. LIABILITY & DISCLAIMER

11.1 Participation is at the contestant’s own risk.

11.2 Miss Grand Iran, its directors, staff, sponsors, and partners are not liable for:

  • Injury

  • Loss or damage to personal property

  • Financial losses

  • Third-party negligence

11.3 Contestants agree to indemnify the organisation against any claims arising from their participation.

12. CONFIDENTIALITY

12.1 Contestants must not disclose:

  • Internal communications

  • Contracts

  • Financial information

  • Private organisational matters

12.2 Confidentiality obligations continue after the competition ends.

13. TERMINATION

The Organiser reserves the right to terminate participation at any stage without explanation if it is in the best interest of the organisation or Miss Grand International.

14. FORCE MAJEURE

The Organiser shall not be held responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters

  • Pandemics

  • Government restrictions

  • Political instability

15. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law, unless otherwise stated by the Organiser.

16. ACCEPTANCE

By applying, participating, or accepting a title, the contestant confirms full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
